Natural light is dynamic – the position of the sun changes depending on the day and season. More daylight requires more sun protection and more glare protection. It is also important to protect rooms from overheating. Our textiles for glare and heat protection ensure ideal translucency and energy transmittance without any glare. At the same time, the highly functional fabrics reduce heat radiation and help to improve the indoor climate and therefore well-being in the workplace.

Glare and heat protection through metallisation

Our functional fabrics are metallised in a technical process with a wafer-thin layer of aluminium. As a result, they reflect incoming sunlight and create pleasantly subdued lighting in the room – with intact visual contact to the outside.

Physical properties such as transmission, reflection and absorption determine whether a fabric is suitable for glare and heat protection. Création Baumann has these factors determined by official test institutes.

Variety in the range

There is a choice of 45 glare and heat protection textiles in a width of up to 300 cm with different looks, textures, colours and transparencies.

A highlight of the collection is the double-sided FACE curtain, an innovation with a complex structure. The double-sided textile combines a white shiny, reflective outer side with a dark printed inner side. This means that FACE creates ample glare protection without any metallisation and at the same time a high level of translucency and transparency.
