Starting Point
The new building primarily serves as an orchestra rehearsal hall and offers space for 70 musicians and 80 choristers. In order to achieve maximum acoustic room volume, a dome-shaped basic geometry was chosen that allows a lot of daylight into the room. The façade consists of custom-made triangular profiles.
Solution
The façade of custom-made triangular profiles lets plenty of light into the rehearsal hall. The flame-retardant textile Shade Medium was stretched over custom-made 3mm-thick aluminium frames. The anti-glare frames are individually adapted to each window and can be removed at any time using practical magnetic holders. This guarantees sun and glare protection with the best possible view to the outside.
